Virtual Poster Presentations
In the fall of 2011, pharmacist mentors with experience in antimicrobial stewardship programs visited five selected hospitals and health systems. Each site worked with its pharmacist mentor to evaluate their current antimicrobial stewardship practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
The virtual posters consist of audio interviews and project details (PDF) highlighting their results and strategies for improving antimicrobial stewardship programs. Each virtual poster activity provides .25 hours (0.025 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.
This educational initiative is designed to provide innovative education and tools to help improve ASP initiatives in health systems. It was developed by a multidisciplinary educational steering committee of experts in antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases.
